Notification of AGM

Comox Valley Senior Peer Counselling AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Comox Valley Senior Peer Counselling Society (CVSPC) will be held on Tuesday March 27th from Noon to 1:30 pm, in Social Hall, Main Floor, Comox United Church, 250 Beach Avenue, Comox.  Light refreshments will be served following the AGM.
All CVSPC members are invited to attend and exercise their right to vote.  We also welcome members of the public to come and find out what we do and who we are.  The AGM will provide a comprehensive overview of the Society, its members, goals and programs. A good way to learn about us!
The CVSPC is a charitable non-profit society affiliated with Senior Peer Counselling of BC.  Our trained volunteers provide volunteer peer support services to seniors age 55+ who may be experiencing challenges in their lives.  The goal of these free, confidential services is to provide non-judgemental, safe emotional peer support to the Valley’s senior population and to promote community wellness.
The board is looking for several new members.  The time commitment is from one to two hours per week depending on the role you wish to take. You do not need to have had experience with seniors but an understanding of their issues is a help.  We are a group of volunteers striving to provide good governance, support for our volunteers, programs and staff and sound financial management. We work hard and have fun doing it with a great group of people. Come and find out more about this opportunity!
